Camp Enterprise 2014

Several executive members from Rotaract attended Rotary of Etobicoke’s Camp Enterprise. This was a three day camp targeted at high school students, focused on leadership and community service. During the course of the camp, the students were split off into school groups, and lead through the process of choosing a specific charity to focus on. Once charities were chosen, the students developed events for raising awareness and funds for the charity. Our execs had the amazing opportunity to mentor the various groups, providing them feedback and help in their planning. Execs also helped run a very fun improv night, as well as various leadership games throughout the three days. Ultimately, the group with the best proposal for their event was awarded $2000 in seed money to put their plan into action! Click here to learn more!

"This was my second year helping with Camp Enterprise and without a doubt, the high school students had a blast. The students had a chance to win a couple thousand dollars of SEED money to execute a fundraiser for the charity of their choosing. That is a pretty sweet amount of money up for grabs in a couple days' time!" Weiting Xu

"Without a doubt, my experience at Camp Enterprise experience was a highlight of my time with Rotaract. Over the three days that I volunteered, I learned just how creative and dedicated a group of young leaders could be. Helping to facilitate the programming of the Camp and bonding with the high school students was so much fun! I can only hope to have the opportunity to volunteer again in the coming years." - Melisa Okanovic

"Camp Enterprise was a phenomenal event that brought out the entrepreneurial side of students from around Etobicoke. Volunteering at the camp was an incredible experience, as our team had the opportunity to contribute to the bright minds of the future. We had the opportunity to engage in various activities and workshops which the students found highly beneficial and entertaining." - Dishan Ratnajothi
